Nearly 3% of teen girls assaulted

Nearly 3 percent of girls aged 12 to 17 report they have been seriously assaulted by a boyfriend or date, according to researchers of a new U.S. study, Reuters reports. The researchers urge parents and others to work to detect and prevent dating violence early on.
